About Philip Macoun

Philip Macoun has worked in copper, bauxite/alumina, industrial minerals and gold/silver, in several countries and for several major projects. Phil has particular expertise in project assessment, technology innovation, mineral commodity sales and marketing strategies. Prior to joining CRU he was Vice President, North American Operations for Gekko Systems, a producer of gravity separation and leaching in the gold and silver industries. Phil was involved in the development of magnesia production and sales for the refractory, chemical and fertilizer industries based around the Kunwarara magnesite deposit.

Philip holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, and a Masters degree from the University of Oregon.
