Ironmongers' Hall is located at Shaftesbury Place Barbican London EC2Y 8AA

Ironmongers' Hall is situated in Shaftesbury Place (off Aldersgate) which is within the bounds of the City of London and adjacent to the Museum of London.

As a service to the Hall's clients, parking is provided at extremely favourable rates at the Barbican Centre which is approximately five minutes walk from the Hall.

The Hall is also conveniently situated for Barbican, St. Paul's and Moorgate Underground Stations and is serviced by the No's 4 & 56 London Transport buses.

Speaker Bios

Ken HoffmanKen Hoffman, CFASenior Metals and Mining Analyst for Bloomberg
Ken has 20 years' experience covering base and precious metals as well as the global steel industry. He headed Prudential's global steel research team for five years and ran the top quartile Orbitex Energy & Basic Materials fund for three years. Ken started the commodity research effort at Galleon Group and was a PM at Millennium Partners running a $150 million fund. Ken was also a partner and head of research at MarCap European Investors fund, which focused on Northern European industrial and commodity shares. Based in Bloomberg's Princeton, New Jersey office since 2009, he now heads up the team which builds Bloomberg's industry dashboards across base and precious metals.

Gary is a professional engineer and geoscientist with more than 30 years' experience in the mineral industry–24 of them in Saskatchewan. He has been an officer and director of several public mining and mineral exploration companies during the past 18 years. In addition to his experience with uranium and base-metal exploration, Gary has been directly involved with putting Saskatchewan's largest gold mine into production and, on three separate occasions, has played a major role in the discovery of diamond-bearing kimberlite.

Until January 2012, Richard was the Chairman and CEO of AIM quoted Sirius Minerals Plc, which he transformed into a substantial potash company following a series of acquisitions in Australia, the USA and the UK. Richard qualified as a barrister in 1976 after which he moved into merchant banking where he worked for Samuel Montagu & Co Limited. Following an MBA at the London Business School and an exchange programme with Harvard, Richard joined the international management consultancy firm, Arthur D. Little, where he worked in the European strategy practice. During his career, Richard has founded or co-founded companies in healthcare, retail, internet based technology and natural resources, executing growth strategies by acquisition. Richard co founded The Financial Industries Group, has been Executive Chairman of JMI Seed Capital and served in the UK Leadership Team of Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Richard is currently CEO of PCG Entertainment Plc and a non-executive director of MoneySwap Plc.

Andrew CranswickAndrew CranswickCEO, African Consolidated Resources
Andrew Cranswick is a fourth-generation Zimbabwean and has lived almost all of his life in the country. He has a geological background with extensive commercial experience in the mining and metals industry of Southern Africa. In addition, in the 1990s he established a successful group of IT companies in Zimbabwe, including the nation's first Internet Service which he sold to an international concern before the dot com crash. More recently he was an important stakeholder in the West-Australian cattle ranching industry.

Based in Vancouver, Richard is a Professional Geologist with more than 20 years' experience in gold mining, and precious and base metals mineral exploration in southern Africa, the Americas and southern Europe.

Tim LyleTim LyleDirector & CEO, City and Merchant
Tim Lyle has over thirty years' experience in investment banking, covering venture capital, corporate advice, private and public capital raising and M&A, initially at County NatWest and later heading up a small bank in the City. For the past twenty years he has advised and handled transactions as a founder partner of City & Merchant Limited. In addition to his venture capital and corporate advisory activities, Tim's industrial experience includes a number of executive and non-executive directorships across a range of industries and sizes of business.
